Our state-licensed aesthetician is an expert in skin health and skincare. She performs an array of skincare treatments that are medically oriented and a step above the offerings for most other California spas. She is well-versed in giving advice about your skin problems and can advise you about the most appropriate skincare products suited to your needs.

Meet Joanna Harris, Licensed Aesthetician

Licensed aesthetician Joanna Harris has been helping patients improve their skin health and confidence since 2015. Before becoming a licensed aesthetician, Joanna spent several years working in spa operations and completing hands-on apprenticeship training, giving her a strong foundation in both patient care and advanced skincare techniques. She joined Dr. Okamoto in 2017 through Medspa 29 and has become a trusted part of our practice’s aesthetic team.

Joanna graduated at the top of her class from Marinello Beauty College with a 4.1 GPA and is passionate about continuing education, customized skincare planning, and helping patients better understand their skin. Her philosophy centers around caring for the body’s largest living organ — the skin — through consistent maintenance, education, and treatments designed around each individual’s unique needs.

Patients appreciate Joanna’s approachable personality, extensive skincare knowledge, and honest recommendations. She believes skincare should feel achievable and sustainable, and she enjoys helping patients build realistic routines using both professional treatments and products they already own whenever possible. No two patients — and no two complexions — are exactly alike, which is one of the things Joanna enjoys most about working in aesthetics.
